Hello prospective hunters, and welcome to your first briefing. This series of informational reports will go over cryptids all over the world and assist chapter members in their hunts for cryptid targets.
Today's briefing will go over FAI's mascot, the Black Shuck.
"Black Shuck" or Just "Shuck" is a legendary cryptid found hidden in the English countryside, roaming the East Anglian region. Usually described as a massive black dog with glowing eyes, this beast's sighting usually is an omen of something terrible to come.
Found mostly around churches and graveyards, his physical presence can leave scorch and burn marks that cannot be removed through normal means. And honestly, it is best to avoid staying at a prior spotting area where it has visited.
While linked to dangerous or fatal events, this animal has not been linked to any dangerous acts of its own - even possibly having been killed saving a total stranger and then cursed to forever patrol its old grounds.
Other than local sightings, no other information is easily found regarding Shuck. It appears that this creature can be easily spooked and would much rather favor being left alone to wander the outskirts of quiet villages.

Black Shuck is a force to contend with, but does appear to be friendly and will not engage unless fired upon first. It therefore falls under Category 1: Defensive Cryptid. It is suggested that hunters steer clear of this being as it poses no real threat and appears to only observe humankind out of curiosity. While hunting this creature is not considered "unsportsmanlike", doing so will not increase your score in the hunter leaderboards for your chapter.
